The third round of ticket sales for the Asian Cup in Qatar has begun.
The Qatar Asian Cup Organizing Committee said on the 20th, “The third round of ticket sales for the Asian Cup, which will open in Doha, Qatar from January to February next year, will begin at 10 p.m. (Korea time) on the 20th.”
Soccer fans around the world who want to watch the event can purchase tickets online through the official website of the Asian Cup. Tickets for the group stage start at 25 katar riyals (about 9,000 won). Tickets for all games are digital and can be downloaded and presented on all mobile devices. In the first and second sales, the host country Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and India were the most sold tickets in that order.
Qatar, which will host the third Asian Cup, is preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup based on its infrastructure. From Jan. 12 to Feb. 10 next year, it will host 51 matches at nine stadiums for the opening and final matches at Lusail Stadium.
Korea, led by German coach Jürgen Klinsmann, will compete with Bahrain (Jan. 15), Jordan (Jan. 20) and Malaysia (Jan. 25) to advance to the round of 16 teams in Group E. Korea has failed to rise to the top since the second event in 1960.
