Los Angeles Dodgers ace Julio Urias (26) has been unable to break out of a slump.
Urias started a game against the visiting Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park in Baltimore, Maryland, on Tuesday, but was pulled after giving up eight runs on eight hits and two walks in five innings.
Urias, who improved to 7-6 on the season, saw his ERA soar to 5.02 as the Dodgers fell to 5-8.
The Dodgers scored two runs in the top of the first inning, but Urias gave up four runs on four hits and a walk in the bottom of the inning.

Urias led the National League in wins in 2021 with a 20-3 record and a 2.96 ERA, and he followed that up with a 17-3 record and a 2.16 ERA in 2022, establishing himself as the Dodgers’ ace in the mold of Clayton Kershaw.
He is eligible for free agency after this season, and a big contract was expected.
But Urias’ unexpected early-season slump left the Dodgers with a mound emergency heading into the postseason.
