Coach Hwang Sun-hong
Originally, U-23 national team Coach Hwang Sun-hong was scheduled to lead the team himself,
but as he took over as temporary coach of the A national team
whose head coach position was vacant due to the dismissal of Coach Jurgen Klinsmann,
the U-23 national team became ‘Hwang Sun-hong without Hwang Sun-hong.’
Coach Hwang will lead the A national team in the 3rd and 4th games
of the 2026 North and Central America World Cup Asia 2nd qualifying round match against Thailand, and instead,
head coach Myung Jae-yong will lead the U-23 national team in Dammam.
