SSG defeated Samsung in a thrilling one-point victory. Samsung came from behind, but held on for the win. LG lost on the same day. The margin is now 0.5 games.

In the second game of a three-game midweek series against Samsung in the 2023 KBO League regular season at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu, South Korea, SSG rallied for an 8-7 victory in the top of the seventh inning, thanks to a sacrifice fly by Park Sung-ho and a six-out save by Seo Jin-yong.

At the plate, Park Sung-ki went 1-for-1 with a game-winning sacrifice fly and one RBI. Kang Jin-seong had two hits, including a two-run shot, and two RBIs.
